After several years and hundreds of hours on AutoCAD, it was time to teach myself Inventor. Started with this book. I'm sure it's good for it's stated purpose -- a classroom companion. But if you're trying to teach yourself there is a much better book out there. Parametric Modeling with Autodesk Inventor 2011 by Randy Shih. And it's half the price of this book. This book, overall, felt like somebody had printed out the help menu and thrown in a couple of tutorials.Product details

Great book from someone who makes an awesome program. Buy it used though not worth price they ask for a new one!
