These two could not be more opposite, or so it would seem. Outward appearances aside they share a vulnerability that makes this my favorite book in the series thus far. This story explores the themes of forgiveness, grace, vulnerability, and discovering what truly brings happiness to one's life. One of my favorite lines is "Life doesn't have to be perfect to make us happy...We choose to be happy, and that makes life perfect."This story resonated with me causing me to laugh and cry and just stop to ponder my own life journey. It is a simply enjoyable tale that I hope will leave you with a smile in your heart.

This Preacher has a good sense of humor and a good understanding of what it is to be humble. He knew God sees things different from what we see them.
Olivia, the society girl who wanted to marry a rich man was shocked when she realized that wasn't what or who she wanted. This is a good story, easy to read, and has a few places to chuckle at.
I love this author and her books. She fleshes out the characters to be multi-dimensional. She writes with humor. Her books have actual plots and hold your interest. I just keep reading, and then am so disappointed when the book ends so quickly.
This is the story of pastor Robert who had a ruff life growing up in a saloon and later in life he talks to a pastor and learns about God and desires to become a pastor himself and Olivia who had a privileged life the finest of everything she came to Topeka determined to Wed Adam Brody only to find he has chosen his bride. Can Olivia give up her dreams of a handsome rich man for a simple pastor especially a pastor who threw her in the pond.
I stayed up late into the night just so I could finish this book! The characters, Olivia and Robert, had so much depth to them. Although Olivia seem shallow in the beginning, her personality and wit really leap off the pages. Pastor Robert is also not an average character. His strong faith and commitment to his congregation was admirable and inspiring. Also, I thought the author did a great job in creating a plot that was so fulfilling even though it is a short novel. I enjoyed this book so much! I must now read the others in the series!
What a great book! Take a not so nice woman who journeys west, looking to marry a wealthy man. She meets several and goes out now and then. However, she keeps thinking of a quite poor pastor. This fellow let's her know when she is inconsiderate. In fact, she infuriates him so much that he does something drastic! (I cannot reveal what it is, but will say it's quite unusual)!
Pastor Robert finds himself torn between feeling upset with Olivia while thinking about her more than he should. This is not only a clean, romantic story, but also humorous! I enjoy these type of books. You will, too. Blessings and enjoy! 😊
Amelia Adams has done it again, but even better! It's Miss Olivia Markham's turn... she's a New York City socialite, who followed hotel owner, Adam Brody to Topeka, Kansas to marry him. Only to find out that Adam was already married. She schemes in prior books in the series but you see a different Olivia Markham in book #4. Whom she has a relationship with is surprising and how it all happened was even more surprising. This is a DEFINITE MUST READ!!!!!! And, if you haven't read books 1-3, I would highly recommend that you purchase them and read first. But if you can only afford one book, go ahead and read this one. It will cause you to want more from Ms. Adams. AWESOME READ!!!
